The high temperature involved in the refining process removes all the natural and beneficial substances from the oil. It instead increases the trans fats of the oil which is detrimental to your heart health. Regular consumption of this oil can act as a slow poison for your heart and can cause heart attacks or blockage.
Other major diseases which may be caused by prolonged consumption of refined oil are diabetes, renal problems, different allergies, premature ageing, ulcers, emphysema, infertility, hypoglycemia and arthritis. Therefore, most doctors and nutritionists advise these day to go for natural, unrefined and cold-pressed vegetable oils which are fit for consumption.
On the other hand Cold pressed oils are a much healthier option. In this process, the seeds are not subjected to high temperature and harsh chemicals and thus they retain their high flavor and nutritional composition, thus making them a healthier choice for consumers. These oils do not lose vitamin and essential fatty acids and keep its natural characteristics. Examples of unrefined oils are mustard oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and olive oil, etc.
