Vitamin E , An effective low-cost treatment for heart attack patients.

Heart attack is a leading cause of death worldwide and new treatment strategies are highly sought-after. Unfortunately lasting damage to the heart muscle.

Recent clinical research studies Published in Redox Biology, the clinical study sheds new light on the potential of the acute therapy with vitamin E in patients presenting with heart attack, and may ultimately offer an effective low-cost treatment.

Vitamin E offers one of the most effective anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. As currently no drug available that can reduce the cardiac damage caused by an overshooting inflammation after reopening of a blocked coronary artery, the potential impact of vitamin E on cardiovascular health would be significant.

Foods rich in vitamin E include canola oil, olive oil, margarine, almonds and peanuts. We can also get vitamin E from meats, dairy, leafy greens and fortified cereals. Vitamin E is also available as an oral supplement in capsules or drops.

The recommended RDA daily amount of vitamin E for adults is 15 milligrams a day.
